When should I pick a backlog task?

  • When you are on the bench, or when you are directly assigned one by an EM, the PA, or the CTO/CDO.

Who decides which task can be picked up?

  • Developers can decide on their own what they'd like to pick up, but should always consider the priority of the tasks. Tasks may also be allocated on demand by EMs, the PA, or the CTO/CDO. Always prioritize tasks here over tasks that are not on the backlog.

What happens if I get allocated to a billed project in the middle of completing a backlog task?

  • Immediately communicate it to the task's stakeholders.

What happens if I'm working on something internal, but it's not on this backlog?

  • Please immediately contact the stakeholder(s) of your task and ask them to put it onto the backlog. Point them to the task management section.

What to do if my task's description is empty?

  • Contact the stakeholder(s) of the task and ask for a clear enough description. Point them to the task management section.
