Track changes, updates, and improvements to the Aliz Dev Hub documentation.

October 2026

Documentation

  • Tech Updates — published the weekly digest for Oct 12 – Oct 18, 2026, covering Gemini 4 Argon reaching general availability across Google Cloud, in-place GKE node upgrades, 45-day Google-managed certificates, generally available Cloud Billing and Cloud Run spend caps and Application Integration authorization enforcement, and an industry outlook on AI spend controls, model routing and AI-driven vulnerability discovery as emerging trends
  • Scalable, safe execution environments for AI agents — second version: resumable per-workspace sandboxes with GKE Pod snapshots, safe suspension and restore verification, and the prototype's current gaps
  • Tech Updates — published the weekly digest for Oct 4 – Oct 11, 2026, covering the Gemini agent announced at Gemini at Work, the end of new Gemini Code Assist subscriptions, Gemini API model deprecations, GKE's generally available microVM sandbox and Cloud SQL for MySQL blue-green deployments, and an industry outlook on agent sandboxing, model routing, MCP, AI spend controls and AI-driven vulnerability discovery as emerging trends
  • Data Assessment — added guides for structuring the initial discovery phase and running a data assessment project, including purpose, scope, process, and deliverables
  • Tech Updates — moved production from the GitHub Actions workflow to a Monday Claude Code routine running the tech-updates skill; weekly posts now include an industry outlook (emerging vs. noise vs. real trends, plus a learning queue), and a ledger of reported items stops older announcements from being presented as new
  • Telemetry Fixes & Updates — published a summary of the AI telemetry pull requests merged between 1 and 6 October 2026, pairing each problem and its GitHub issue with the fix and PR, covering Copilot and Codex accounting, cache-write pricing, content stripping, and the move to Terraform
  • Tech Updates — published the weekly digest for Sep 27 – Oct 3, 2026, covering Gemini Enterprise's federated query mode, BigQuery Security Center and Dataform GA milestones, Cloud Monitoring's application topology graph, and a Next.js security release across all five domains
  • AI Telemetry — added macOS Copilot desktop setup with a persistent LaunchAgent, documented GUI-session scope and removal, and clarified that desktop and CLI usage share the dashboard's copilot-cli label

September 2026

Documentation

  • Data Anonymization — Essentials — added a narrative-driven ~1.5-hour essentials guide teaching anonymization through five real-world failure case studies, targeted at engineers new to the topic
  • Data Anonymization — Crash Course — renamed the previous essentials to crash course; a dense ~2-hour technical reference covering all 13 learning path modules for senior engineers who already know the basics
  • Aliz AI Telemetry: Q3 2026 Review — published the first quarterly analysis of organisation-wide AI telemetry, covering skill growth and reach, tool and cost concentration, measurement limits, and the next priorities for AI Transformation
  • Tech Updates — published the weekly digest for Sep 20 – Sep 26, 2026, covering Gemini 3.8 Flash as the Gemini Enterprise default, Claude Opus 5.5, Compute Engine's X5 machine series, GKE pod-density and ambient networking updates, and BigQuery/Cloud SQL changes across all five domains
  • Tech Updates — published the weekly digest for Sep 14 – Sep 20, 2026, covering Grok 4.6 GA, Model Armor filter v4, backend mTLS workload identity, and BigQuery, Dataform, and Spanner GA milestones across AI/ML, Infrastructure, Data, and AppDev
  • Tech Updates — published the first weekly digest (week of Sep 6 – Sep 12, 2026), covering Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Cloud SQL, Cluster Toolkit security bulletins, and more across all five domains
  • Tech Updates — added a new section: an automated, review-gated weekly digest of Google Cloud and industry changes across five domains, drafted each Sunday by a scheduled GitHub Actions workflow
  • Dashboards — added a sidebar page collecting Aliz internal dashboards, starting with AI Telemetry
  • Scalable, safe execution environments for AI agents — added architecture guidance and proof-of-concept lessons for running coding agents in isolated, per-session GKE sandboxes
  • Data Validation Tool — added a new Data section on migration validation tooling: a market comparison of seven diff tools and an end-to-end DVT runbook for Oracle / PostgreSQL to BigQuery, including memory and sizing guidance for large tables
  • Data Anonymization Knowledge Base — added a comprehensive internal reference for data engineers covering anonymization techniques, privacy models, GCP tooling, architecture patterns, key management, AI/LLM patterns, governance, operations, industry deep dives (telco, retail, finance, energy), risk analysis, and client engagement workflows. Includes 13 learning-path modules, cheat sheets, a glossary, and ready-to-adapt client deliverable templates

August 2026

Documentation

  • Data Lakehouse — started a new knowledge base on lakehouse architecture on GCP: Iceberg fundamentals, the three GCP implementation patterns (BigQuery-managed Iceberg, Lakehouse runtime catalog, Dataproc Metastore), BigQuery/Spark/Trino/Databricks as transformation engines, catalog federation, and cross-cloud data access. Currently section-level outlines.
  • Engineering Standards — added a new section covering the engineering backlog and task-management guidelines
  • Removed the GCP, Learn, and top-level Tech Stack sections

July 2026

Documentation

  • AI Telemetry — added a new section documenting Aliz's AI usage telemetry: a 5-minute per-tool setup guide, what data is (and isn't) collected, and the data-flow architecture
  • Solution Block Hub — added a new section documenting the Solution Block Hub, the AI-powered platform that discovers, summarizes, and indexes reusable repositories across Aliz
